iPad created Animation

My use of iPad for doing animation has being on the increase of late. After sulking about the shortcoming of Animation Creator HD for ipad which were undos limited to just three; just limited to 3 layers; no redo; onion skinning doesn't show the next frame - in all, I have gotten used to it and gotten over it.
With no idea at all what the animation will turnout to be, I came up with this.

I got a brief to come up with a Storyboard for a TV Commercial coming up soon recently.
The storyline had already being set. All I was required to do was to make out a visual for the script written.

Animation Short - WIP

I was in the heat of going ahead with this short - until a big digression came in.

Office work, job backlogs, fatigue, .... other excuses; you name it.

The Battle of the Villages - animation remake

HISTORY
This 32-page comic book was produced by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Kenya with the assistance of teachers and pupils. Using the entertainment-education approach, the comic was designed to reach children in upper primary classes with issues related to international humanitarian law and preventing conflict, as well as the idea that even wars have limits. The booklet includes activities for pupils and a teachers page with suggested lessons at the end.

The comic book tells the story of two neighbouring villages, Ama and Zuta, who have been engaged in a bitter and long conflict. No one remembers how it all started but each village blames the other. Once peaceful neighbours, in Ama and Zuta many lives have been lost and property destroyed because of the conflict. According to the publication, "In every country, religion, and culture, we find rules and traditions designed to reduce the suffering caused by wars. These norms are at the heart of International Humanitarian Law, a universal set of rules that protects war victims, especially children and women, and prevents fighters from using certain arms and weapons."

WHERE I COME IN
I was in part 2 in the university when I got my hand on this comic book. It was my quest to join a club, which was becoming a cliché for all my friends who were either in Rotract Club, JCI or the likes. I chose Red Cross - why? 'cos 'twas free! - anyway, I was thrilled with the plot of the story and the character style with which it was drawn. Though I tried something out, my skills set didn't permit me to go all the way - left alone my not having a computer to work with.

Anyway, here we are ... I look forward to a painstaking but rewarding animation production - my first!

Here is a piece of illustration turned to multimedia interactivity done recently. My frame of mind upon completion is so set on creating an anime - cartoon network style wont be bad for a start - I think!

UBA Foundation Mascot

Here is a recent Sketch/Colour mascot I did for UBA Foundation Sanitation Awareness Programme. The Mascot is meant to be symbolic of an exercise that would see UBA Staffs create time to do some environmental works outside office hours.

I'm so tripping for ILLUSTRATOR men ... gosh!

Having drawn the Kitchen and Living Room Scenes as posted in earlier post, I decided to sharpen my drawing skills the more. Though this time around, I decided to visit my WACOM BAMBOO Graphics Tablet which I bought over 3-5 months ago without actually using it cos of some Flash Project I embarked on during that time.

The funny thing there was that after preparing my Artwork in Photoshop for Comic-Style painting, one brush stroke discouraged me and IMMEDIATELY, I swapped app ... the re-draw was done in AI and the text, brush, logo and shadow fx was PS.

By the way, GTB has nothing to do with this ... its just a personal work I feel you will be liking some of sort ... say, today ... or NOW!

Getting ready for Cartoon Network

I have a friend like that ... anytime he catches me online, his first question is 'WHATS COOKING'.
Over the last few weeks, I have been researching on how to create a CARTOON NETWORK style animation for a client in the nearest future. I sent the skecth quite alright and Im sure from the look of teh sketch, you will admit the message aint being relayed well.

So over the Easter Break at Warri, i decided to bring it to life.
